Weight Loss Tips - Week 6 - Exercise
- To be successful with ANY weight loss program, we must all be active in some way (walking, dancing, biking, climbing, etc.).

- More fat is lost from walking, than from running. Why?? Running requires the boy to burn EXTRA calories (glycogen) for fuel, whereas walking does not put the body into an extreme aerobic state, but instead will burn the fat off first as fuel...so let's walk!!! 10,000 steps per day is what it takes to get the most "lean" muscle built.
- To REALLY give yourself a boost, begin your day with 10 -15 minutes of exercise, before eating breakfast. Walk, dance, stretch...anything to get your heart going. :-)
- It's also best to not eat any sugar (or simple carbohydrates), especially before working out, because your body will burn those first, BEFORE burning the fat.
- Remember, this is about creating a "lean" you!! Not just about weighing less on the scale!! :-) (Muscle weighs more than fat, but muscle is what helps us keep a high metabolism.) :-)
